JOIN US and be part of the GLOBAL choir of Good Earth Singers as we SING for the EARTH’s healing. Be part of the largest moment of synchronized song in history. Imagine people all over our Good Earth connecting together in song at the exact same time! And what better cause than the health and welfare of our earth.

**Please arrive on time** at 4:30PM as we will PREPARE to sing at exactly 5PM a 15-minute long synchronized moment of song with others around the globe.  We will teach and practice the song together before 5PM.

We will midwife the cosmic dance of this sacred time by drawing down the powers of the Galactic Center thru the Great Sun, into the molten core of the Earth.

The Great Mother calls us home to our true Nature, Here and Now.

Together we descend to the One Heart.

What is Lammas?
Lammas is a celebration of the First Harvest
Also know as: Lughnasadh or Loafmas

Traditionally, Lughnasadh marks the beginning of the noticeable descent of the Sun into the darkness of winter. From the connection between the Earth (female principle) and the Sun (male principle), the marriage of the Sky Father (Sun God) with the Earth Mother we celebrated at Beltaine, emerge the fruits of the first harvest of the year. Lughnasadh is a time of joy about the first fruits. It is also a time of tension, because the dark days of winter are coming nearer, and most of the harvest is not brought in and stored away yet.

The God of the harvest is the Green Man (also known as John Barleycorn). He sacrifices himself every year in order to enable human life on Earth. In some areas his death is mourned with wreaths decorated with poppies or cornflowers.

The grain is cut, part of it goes into bread and nutrition, another part is stored away and used as seeds next spring, to create new life. Looking at that, thoughts about sacrifice, transformation, death and rebirth are also part of Lughnasadh.

The longest day of the year’s evening will begin with a 
POTLUCK PICNIC starting in Oakledge Park adjacent to the Earth Clock.

**Please bring a prepared dish to share with its own serving utensil.**

***Please bring your own place setting (i.e. utensils, cup, plate, napkin.) ***

You may want to bring a blanket to sit on.

7:15PM Ceremony

We will then gather for CEREMONY at the Earth Clock

ALL are welcome.

Flowers are welcome for the Sundial at the center of the circle.

All are welcome to gather starting at 5:45PM to witness the Venus Transit.
We will have a ceremony starting at 7PM.

This is a very rare astronomical event will happen when Venus will Transit or move across the disk of the Sun.

The Transit will start at 6:05 p.m. and continue until Sunset about 8:30 p.m. Venus will appear as a large black dot against the Sun’s disk. Venus will slowly move across the Sun getting about 1/3 way across the Sun by Sunset. This is the last Venus Transit of this century. The next Transit of Venus will be on 11 December 2117. There will be Sunspots visible during the Venus Transit.By June 2012, as Venus leaves the evening sky to enter the morning sky, this brightest of planets will pass right in front of the sun, to stage one of the rarest of predictable astronomical phenomena: a transit of Venus across the sun’s face. This upcoming transit of Venus will be the last one for the 21st century. It will take place across a period of nearly seven hours on June 5-6, 2012. During the transit, Venus will appear in silhouette as a small, dark dot moving in front of the solar disk. This exceedingly rare astronomical event – a transit of Venus – won’t happen again until December 11, 2117.WELCOME RETURN TO POWER OF THE GODDESS ENERGIES & the BALANCING within each of us of our Divine Masculine & Feminine. This is the last Venus transit in many of our earthly lives ~not til 2117 will the next begin ~ It occurs in pairs, 8 years apart. The first half of this transit was in 2004. 

WARNING: Do Not Look At The Sun Without Proper Safe Solar Protective Equipment. Even a brief glimpse of the Venus Transit without proper safe solar protective equipment can cause permanent eye damage or blindness. Do not attempt to look at the Sun without proper solar protective equipment. Venus moving in front of the Sun will not provide any protection against the Sun’s Harmful Rays.
