Druids bring it down to Earth
Join us in sacred circle to celebrate the longest night and the completion of a 26,000 year cycle with story, song, prayer and magic!
We will midwife the cosmic dance of this sacred time by drawing down the powers of the Galactic Center thru the Great Sun, into the molten core of the Earth.
The Great Mother calls us home to our true Nature, Here and Now.
Together we descend to the One Heart.
Please bring a small offering for the earth.
Dress warmly festive!
RSVP if you would like a supporting role in the ceremony.
Circles for Peace is a project creating sacred community spaces dedicated to World Peace.
Using megalithic stone circles, attuned to the rhythms and cycles of nature, each installation is designed to inspire and foster the renewal of inner peace.
This event is being co-created with our friend Dale Sparlin from Ohio.
He will create the labyrinth and lead us in walking it and dancing the Spiral Dance.
Through drumming, chant, walking the labyrinth, and dancing the spiral dance, we will bring balance within and without, reclaiming our heart’s connection with the Earth. Feel free to bring drums.
Bring a friend, Make a new one!
Connecting with Our Sacred Self
Spiraling into Balance with Sacred Earth
Throughout this gathering, following a myriad of paths, we have been drawn into deeper communion with Sacred Earth. Now, as we prepare to walk the paths returning to our individual hearth-homes, let us take a moment to turn inward, reconnecting with our own Center, that place within each of us from which we utter Namaste.
Here we will seek the common point that holds Sacred Earth and Sacred Self in balance. As above, so below; as within, so without.
Join us in ceremony as we call in the Seven Directions, walk the Spiral Labyrinth, dance the Spiral Dance, turning to our Sacred Center.
We are excited to share news of a community project with you, and invite you to join our expanding circle of participation and support.
Circles for Peace is a Vermont grassroots non-profit organization that is based on the philosophy that inner peace and inner strength can be restored by witnessing the rhythms and cycles of nature.
Our first project is The Burlington Earth Clock.
We are building The Burlington Earth Clock on land provided by the Burlington Parks Department at Blanchard Beach on the bike path just north of Oakledge Park (a popular spot for watching the sunset).
Plans include the development of an educational curriculum for K-12 in the areas of science and math, art and history.
We are currently fundraising to complete landscaping, install information signs and the 6′ granite sundial in the middle of the circle.
Your financial contribution is crucial to this project. WE ARE ONLY $8,000 AWAY FROM OUR $80,000 GOAL!!
The City of Burlington has offered a $2500 matching grant as support.
Please give generously.
